At John Francis Formalwear we know that family weddings do not happen every week so Bride & grooms need help and guidance with what can appear to be a maze of problems and obsticles.
To help you with your arrangements we have answered some of the more frequently asked questions:
When do I need to book? - It is best to place your order as soon as possible, especially if you are looking at a colour co-ordinated look.
Do all the members of my wedding party need to come for their fitting at the same time?
- We normally recommend that the Groom, Bride and possibly the Best Man come in first and take their time trying on as many different suits and accessories as they like. Shirts and shoes will also be available to try on, so you can see exactly how you will look on the big day. When you have decided on a certain outfit, we can then discuss what the other members of the party will wear. They can come in at a later stage either on their own or with you. You are more than welcome to visit us at any time, however from January to June we are busy on Saturdays (especially between 11am and 4pm). So why not make an appointment or call in during the week, this will minimise any waiting.
How do I book an order? - By coming to the shop, over the phone or by E-mail.
The deposits are:
£50 for a wedding party
£10 for evening wear
When is the balance due? - On collection of your suit or suits.
How soon do we bring everybody to be measured? - Once you have booked and chosen your suits, we reccomend that you bring the rest of your party three months before your wedding and for your little ones six weeks before, as they are always growing! - (This is a general guide to time-scale).
What happens if one of our party cannot get to the shop for a fitting? - This is not a problem, we know that family and friends can be living and working all over the U.K. or even abroad these days. Just ask for our easy to use self measurement form and guide. This happens on a regular basis and we are quite familiar with this situation.
When will my suits be ready? - The suits will be ready for collection two days before your wedding (or earlier by arrangement) they can then be distributed to each member of your party. We recommend that they are then tried on at the earliest convenience.
When are the suits returned? - e.g. Wedding on Saturday - suits returned on Monday.
What happens if I damage the suit or accessories?
Don't worry, for a small additional cost an ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE WAIVER can be added to your order. THIS IS OPTIONAL. (Conditions apply, ask in store for details).
